Nate & Sofia- Bat & Ball Centre

My first wedding of 2024!! Was a super easy small wedding (I like small weddings) over in Sevenoaks at the Bat & Ball centre. The day started with a lovely church ceremony as Nate’s dad was the vicar, so it was a very personal thing, plus with a band playing modern church hymns (which made me cry) because I am a massive softy. This followed with cakes and tea in the church hall. Nate & Sofia were a blast to photograph, mainly coz they were super in love and cute and I didn’t need to tell them to do anything as they were already do it!!

Thanks for an amazing day guys x

Sarah & Stu- Brookfield Barn

Right, this most annoying part about this wedding (apart from Stu) is the fact the whole wedding was about their floof (aka their dog) yet said dog was NOT at this wedding. I was soooo disappointed. I think it should be the norm, to have your dog at your wedding, also if it’s not too over the top, they should be dressed in a bow tie and carry the rings down the aisle… surely this is normal.

Anyway so Stu & Sarah….. I have known Stu for many years, he was this annoying (are you seeing a theme occur) this annoying bloke from web merch team at JL, who decided he wanted to be a designer…. joined my team out of the blue… took over me (as in moved a level higher) all in the space what seemed like 2 months… I was fuming. How dare he??

Sarah was this elusive girlfriend of Stu’s that we decided didn’t exisit as we had never met her at JL, I was surprised this annoying bloke had a girlfriend to be perfectly honest. I then finally met Sarah at a football game as my brother was playing against Stu’s team, I think they thrashed them (Stu’s team not my bro’s)

Joking aside, it was a pleasure to photograph my friends wedding, I had my wonderful assistant Jade Eleanor Photography assisting me for the day, which she provided some bangers in this blog!

Sam & Andy- Wasing Park

What a wedding this was! We made it to the church by the skin of our teeth, mainly because we were searching hide and wide for a pair of sunglasses at the getting ready venue, only to discover Sam’s daughter Hayley had them tucked into her collar the whole time we were looking. Wasing Park- what a stunning venue, I had never shot here before, loads of places to shoot and stay by the looks of it.

I met Sam and Andy through one of their groomsmen whose wedding I shot way back when I used to live at the farm, and had recently photographed their newborn son.

I had such a blast, and loved spending my bank holiday with these guys… I hope you had an amazing honeymoon in the Maldives and I hope you like this little snippet of your day!

Donna & Fred- Surrey National Golf Club

Donna and Fred's wedding was a celebration of love and family held at the picturesque Surrey National Golf Club. The couple, accompanied by their three children, embarked on a joyous journey of unity and happiness, surrounded by breathtaking views and a touch of magic.

The Surrey National Golf Club's lush greenery and panoramic vistas provided a stunning backdrop, creating an idyllic setting for this memorable occasion…..

…..Haha, the above was created by ChatGPT, I thought I would give it a go, seeing as I am rubbish at writing, but it was a bit too wishy washy for me.

So Donna & Fred’s wedding started with a party Hummer, me almost tipping over a golf buggy (I swear I almost did at one point) and ended with a waiter doing an Oscar worthy performance as honestly everyone (including the magician who we forgot to tell) thought he seriously hurt himself and he was proper milking it…. followed by a conga line and the most beautiful golden hour photos!

Thank you so much for having me guys, and as ChatGPT says..

The presence of their children, the mystifying magician, the harmonious singing waiters, and the ethereal golden hour created a dreamlike experience that would forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Lucy & Jack- Bix Manor

My first wedding of the year!! And it was a blast, it was my first time shooting at the lovely Bix Manor and I was fortunate enough to shoot back in the lovely Henley-on-Thames area. I met Lucy through her sister Hannah, who I work with at John Lewis, and got to meet the lovely George for the first time as well. Massive shout out to the fab Jade Eleanor Photography for assisting me a usual!! Wishing you guys lots of laughs and love in your future together!

Laura & Sebastian-Brympton House

This wedding was on fire! and quite literally for me whose hair caught alight mid ceremony (I have curly hair which gets in the way of everything and in this case a lit candle)

So where to begin…. you may think from the beginning of the day but my story started with this couple or should I say one half of the couple back in 2002, where I met Laura in my Performing Arts class at Reigate College, we quickly became friends and spent many a drunken night at Tiger Tiger in Croydon and in our spare time learning choreography for a brother/sister duo we were backing dancers for and we even did our final A-Level performance together where Laura decided she got the nice part and I had to kiss this gross looking boy playing the part of her mum (thanks Laura). We did part ways when we went to Uni but I did get to stay at two of her apartments in NYC, and met a couple of times across the pond.

Fast forward to a beautiful November sunny day (ok so I lie here a little) we weren’t luckily with the weather, but we carried on. Laura which I knew she would had, quite simply packed a shit ton (pardon my french) into this day, like I have never seen so much happen at one time. When I was shooting the groups there was a silhouette geezer cutting people’s faces, there was a surprise TikTok dance by her Urdang alumni, we did have sideways rain which we had to abandon the sparklers, we had this crazy hoopist comeout after the band, I couldn’t even count how many hoops she wriggled around her body, then the cresendo.. Fireworks…. in the rain.

The next day I needed to sleep for about 12 hours to get over this incredibly fun-filled, emotionally charged (I must have cried 10 times) wedding. It was a pleasure to finally meet all your crazy friends I had seen so much on Insta (mainly you Julia) and very pleased to meet Sebastian who is super lucky to have the wonderful Miss Cleary as his wife. May you two have more fur babies, sell loads of houses and live a happy life and as Elvis says… (in my Panto voice-yes I am currently rehearsing for Snow White)…

Darling, so it goes

Lucie & Tom- Grey Friars House

First time at this venue…. amazing views!! and a die for window (yes I know, I am getting excited about a window) but Lucie really wanted a photo of it, and of course I had to deliver. Tom and his groomsmen had custom made suits where each person had a different lining and caption under the collar.

I am super stoked when Lucie said her friend and bridesmaid helped choose me, stoked because she is a DOP (Director of Photography) a profession if I could start all over again would pursue (never say never) so to have a DOP choose you is pretty flattering. Anyway I digress… this wedding a whole load of cute and super in love adorable bride and groom, who made me feel very welcome.

Thanks to Josie and her boyfriend for being my models for the day (I needed to set the lighting up for the said window shot) luckily we nailed it, even though Tom probably doesn’t remember me taking it… lols…

Enough said….. show me the photos you say…

Susanne & Sean- Bysshe Court Barn

So I met these guys a while back in my local fave coffee shop (Bloss) literally round the corner from where I currently live because it was super close for them… their venue was literally around the corner from where I used to live at my parents…. the lovely lady Tracey who owns the barn, got the idea off the farm wedding I started with my ex-mother in law, around the corner. So already the universe was weirdly lining us up… on-top both S&S were involved with am dram at Tenterden, I am now involved with am dram at Rye (round the corner from one another) am I sure there were other similarities but I can’t remember now.

I hands down can say Susanne’s Bridal Indulgence dress was my fav from this year, very unique…. also loved the dried flowers which is deffo on-trend. Also loved Sean’s mix of yellow and light blue suit. Their wedding was super relaxed, calm, easy, my kind of wedding.

I hadn’t been to Bysshe (a very hard word to get right) but had all the elements of a working farm, cows, pond, swallows diving past, tractors back and forth, after dinner people walked around meeting the cows, soaking up golden hour. They had my fav… Chapel Down, and met the guys from Chin Chin, who are from Tenterden, plus the great Kelmsey Catering who I have met before but we couldn’t work out where.. possibly Hookhouse (the wedding venue I helped start)

Daisy & Graham- Kingswood Golf Club

Where to start this one…… my fav part is Daisy’s mum crying into her cereal in the morning coz of Grahams words in a letter to Daisy. The day was easy to photograph because of how much laughter was around. Kingswood Golf Club were amazing, it’s not often you have a venue and wedding planner that helped me and worked around my schedule. I has my amazing assistant Miguel helping me for the day as well. Here is a little round up of the day….

My Best Friend's Wedding- Market Porter- London Bridge

So just to clarify this isn’t the same plot as the film ‘My Best Friends Wedding’ where Julia Roberts realises she’s in love with her best friend and try’s to sabotage his wedding to his fiancé. I literally want to vom if I think of Josh in anyway like this, he is more like an annoying brother to me. So I jumped at the chance (although I was super nervous) to shoot their wedding, and I am still nervous about Sophia seeing the pics, coz we all know what Sophia is like, so fingers crossed she likes 2% of these pics and we will be onto a winner.

I cried throughout this wedding (obviously) the registrar even mentioned I have never seen a photographer cry so much (great) he obviously didn’t know my relationship to them.

I met Josh at work (John Lewis) over 10 years ago, when he looked like Henry 8th, ginger, larger than he is now, and to be honest I hadn’t been around many Welsh people, so he arrived in the office like this crazy children’s entertainer, dressed like a clown, which instantly annoyed our boss Daz. They had a love/hate relationship over the years, but I instantly made him my best friend along with our mate Muzza.

Our friendship grew, I puked on him, joined his family zoom quiz’s in lockdown, went on his stag do in Edinburgh, many drunken nights in bar 171, flew out to Switzerland twice etc….

Sophia was a perfect match for him and you could see this on the day, to be far I hadn’t even seen them kiss before (they don’t do PDA) so it was very surprising to see them all over each other which made me want to vom a little (joking) So round up of this way, was the most in love I had seen a couple, never seen a couple jump up and down all the time (which makes a photographers job harder) and hadn’t photographer a couple in-front of a world famous pork pie shop. So there were a lot fo firsts for me that day.

I wish you all the happiness in your future together… maybe your future could be moving to New York for work, so I can be selfish and come and stay….. love you xxxx

Danielle & Luke- Stoke by Nayland

My first wedding of 2022!! As per usual I was super nervous at the start of each season, especially when I hadn’t shot many weddings throughout 2020/21 for obvious reasons. Luckily I had my amazing assistant Jade Eleanor and videographer friend Jamie Agutu Films beside me throughout the day. And of course the amazing Danielle & Luke for being patient, easy going and over all my kind of client. I hope you enjoyed your day and thank you for being such an amazing couple to photograph.

Zoe & Dan- Five Oaks

Zoe & Dan’s was my first solo wedding of 2021, I have previously been associating and seconding for other photographers, seeing as everyone had been double booked from squeezing 2020 couples into 2021. I was back at the amazing Five Oaks, which I am sad to hear are closing this year, so Zoe & Dan’s was one of the last ones to be held there. Zoe and Dan were perfect laid back clients making my day very easy, their day was stunning and full of hugs and laughter.

Matt & Sara- London Wetlands Centre

So, I knew Matt from John Lewis, where we used to work together, and I had photographed his work colleague Sophie’s wedding last year. I loved the fact these two got ready together, walked down the aisle together, all very relaxed and not following the usual guidelines of a wedding, which is great for me, as it changes things up a bit. They got married at London Wetlands Centre, which had loads of birds, nature trails and lakes, great for beautiful backdrops. The ceremony was short and sweet, with just their closest family, followed by a BBQ and no cake cutting or first dance. This wedding was was everything it should be, about them, the way they wanted to do things. Wishing all the happiness… Jess x

Cath & Scott- Brands Hatch Place

I felt like I had know these two even before I had met them, we had lots of email, Facebook and Instagram contact, we also had the mutual love of our dogs! I loved photographing your day, it was intimate and fun.
Thank you so much for your patience and kind words over the last month, and I will keep smiling like you asked…. I hope this little summary of the day brings back memories for you….. thanks again for my wonderful assistant Jade Eleanor Photography. xx

Anna & Harry- Elstead Mill

So I met Anna & Harry a few times at previous weddings, I had two of my couples attend their wedding. What I loved about this wedding was the sheer amount of effort Anna had taken to create/design everything. She even got her art students to draw every single person attending their wedding, plus portraits of several Eastenders characters, I had been messaging the Ian Beale on Instagram as part of my other job (I work for my boyfriends restaurant) and I sent him a photo of his portrait and he messaged back un-BEALEvable. This wedding was a pleasure to photograph, and I hope I have captured some everlasting memories for you. xx

Carly & Damian- Laughton Barn

Ahh this wedding……. almost rained on the ceremony… got to spend the day with my fav Matt from MD Flix, loved their inflatable obstacle course, loved all the beautiful details from the LOVE sign to the hand decorated doughnuts!! Also the gelato……. wow, oh forgot my fav bit, the rinsing Damian got from his daughter in her best lady speech!! She killed it!! Anyway hope I have captured the day as you remember guys! and thanks for having me xxx

Chloe & Will- Long Furlong Barn

I met Chloe a while back now when she was assisting as a videographer with a company I worked with a lot, so I got to know her on a working level. I loved now vibrant Chloe and Will’s wedding was, from the flowers and red lipstick to the amazing pom pom’s Chloe and her mum made. Everything was very personal to them, Long Furlong Barn was beautiful as well, although it was a dreary day weather wise, their colourful details brightened everything up, the highlight for me was Chloe’s mum singing a song she had written when Chloe was born……and of course I teared up. Wishing you all the luck and happiness in your future together xx
